We would like to share pictures of the second workshop of the RECLAMA project, 'Harnessing Afro-Ecuadorian women's heritage', which was held on October 15, 16 and 17, 2021, in Tonsupa, Esmeraldas province, Ecuador. The aim of this creative workshop was to create an intergenerational dialogue on ancestral knowledge between Afro-Ecuadorian women from the seven cantons of Esmeraldas province. Memories of pain and healing were shared, and the development of creative products was planned; this will be carried out in the different cantons in upcoming months. Oral history and social cartography methodologies were also developed. Furthermore, the participants took part in memorable moments, such as a gala night. The creative products that will come out of the project include a fanzine on ancestral medicine, a cultural night and poetry encounter, and exhibitions of food processing and aesthetics, among others; these will be disseminated in 2022.
