How to access, use and cite the data:
The recordings and transcripts of the interviews are stored and held by the research team in a protected folder. You may request access to the interviews for your personal use. You may not use the data for any commercial purpose. You may not copy the data from this folder. If using the data for academic or other non-profit purposes, you must consult with the RECLAMA team before doing so and obtain further permissions in relation to your proposed use. You must also share any finalised, published work that draws upon the data with the RECLAMA team. You may not share the data with third parties. You must maintain the integrity of the data (it may not be altered in any way), and the data may not be replicated in any way without further consultation with the research team.

In addition to the data provided in the metadata, once you have access to the dataset you will be able to see information about the participants such as their names, ages and the cantons they live in. The participants included in the dataset have decided they prefer their full name to be included when their data is used, for example in the form of quotes or indirect reproduction of their knowledge and (collective) memory.

We request that when you use information from the data, you attribute this to the individual who shared it. Data should be cited in the following format (Full name, 2021, interview from the RECLAMA project archive). You must also include recognition of “The collective knowledge of the Afro-descendant women inhabiting the territory of Esmeraldas”, the RECLAMA project and the Mujeres de Asfalto collective in any work using the data, explicitly mentioned in any acknowledgements.
